Jessica Alba has hit out at the film industry for pigeonholing Hispanic actresses.

The Fantastic Four star told OK! magazine that Jennifer Lopez was her idol but movie bosses always want to cast her as the “maid”.

She said: “Jennifer Lopez is a huge star, but in Hollywood they still always want her to play the maid. I love her because she opened doors for ethnic girls like me. I want to break down more barriers.”

Jessica, whose father is Mexican American, said she had “a hell of a time” at school because she was bullied for being mixed race.

“I’d get beaten up and picked on all the time”, she said. “It was about being different. Apart from being mixed race, my parents didn’t have money so I never had the cute clothes or the cool backpack.”

The stunning actress, 29, admits that she tends to be “a little obsessive and compulsive about things,” adding: “I think a lot of actors suffer from obsessive compulsive disorder. I think it is part of being creative.”

With the release of his new movie, Dead Man Running, rapper Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is getting serious about acting, but admits he wants his next role to be a little more frothy.

“I want to play the lead in a romantic movie,” he tells the UK Mail on Sunday’s Live magazine. “Jessica Alba would be my perfect co-star — what man wouldn’t want to do a romantic movie with her?”

But when he’s not planning on whisking Jessica off her feet (on screen, of course), Fiddy is adding to his G-Unit business empire.

Getting ready for the upcoming Halloween holiday, the “Sin City” actress and her little angel scoped out the selections of miniature ornamental pumpkins and gourds before heading through the checkout line.

As for her career, Jess is still in the midst of negotiations to star in the upcoming Ben Stiller/Robert DeNiro comedy “Little Fockers”. Alba will reportedly be playing “a pharmaceutical representative who enchants all the guys in the flick” if she agrees to do the Paul Weitz directed flick.

Bond girl Olga Kurylenko has taken over the Campari mantle from Hollywood star Jessica Alba as she became the latest in the line of beauties to endorse the liquor brand. The 29-year-old Ukrainian actress has been chosen as the drink`s latest calendar girl, taking on a role previously held by A-listers including Jessica Alba, Salma Hayek and Eva Mendes to name but a few.

The `Quantum of Solace` star shot the Italian brand`s 11th calendar, dubbed `Campari Milano` in Milan, reported Daily Mail online.

“Olga was a natural choice. She has great charm, grace, elegance and sensuality that represents the perfect incarnation of the Campari brand,” said Campari chief executive Bob Kunze-Concewitz.

In the retro-themed shoot the actress who came to international prominence playing femme fatale Camille opposite Daniel Craig, poses confidently clutching a bottle of Campari in an old train carriage while onlookers gawp at her through the windows.

“It was a truly unique experience. I was delighted and intrigued by Campari’s proposal, to play the Campari woman and interpret the essence of Red Passion,” said Kurylenko.
