Hollywood actress Jessica Alba has revealed she has been a victim of bullying at her Los Angeles high school when she was younger. The actress admits she was a “shy, awkward” teenager who became an easy target for school jibes. She was a miserable student, her dad had to walk her to class and she ate alone in the nurse’s office, reports contactmusic.com.

“I was bullied so badly my dad used to have to walk me into school so I didn’t get attacked… I’d eat my lunch in the nurse’s office so I didn’t have to sit with the other girls,” she said.

Actress Jessica Alba apologized to the people of Oklahoma City after plastering posters of great white sharks on electrical boxes, a bridge and a United Way billboard. Alba was photographed plastering the posters late at night and flashing the victory sign.

The posters were part of a protest group’s efforts to raise awareness of the endangered shark.

“I got involved in something I should have had no part in,” Alba said in a written statement sent to the city’s local newspaper, The Oklahoman, and to ABC News. “I realize that I should have used better judgment and regret not thinking things through before I made a spontaneous and ill-advised decision to let myself get involved with the people behind this campaign. I sincerely apologize to the citizens of Oklahoma City and to the United Way for my involvement in the incident.”

Alba was in the city shooting a movie when this event occurred.

The Associated Press reported that the police have decided not to pursue a criminal vandalism case against the starlet. None of the property holders that were defaced during Alba’s stint of activism wanted to press charges.
At least the great white sharks got a little media attention out of this incident.

Is it not enough that Jessica Alba has already played iconic comic book characters in “Fantastic Four” and “Sin City“? Apparently not, as rumors swirl today about her involvement with yet another paneled page property.

ICv2 is reporting that Alba has acquired the screen rights to a French comic book series titled “The Insiders.” The news originated from “various French language Websites,” which also pegs Alba’s “Sin City” director Robert Rodriguez as her partner in securing the comic’s film rights.

“The Insiders” first debuted in 2002 from Jean-Claude Bartoll and Renaud Garreta, yielding seven volumes of the series in France with an eighth scheduled for this October. In the same month, Americans will also see the first volume of “The Insiders” titled Chechen Guerilla — perhaps a move to familiarize stateside audiences with Alba’s upcoming character.

Should the rumors pan out, Alba would play Najah Cruz, a Columbian woman with “the weapons expertise and combat skills of a James Bond.” In the series, Cruz is tasked with infiltrating a crime syndicate on behalf of the United States government, where she ultimately works her way into becoming the lead criminal’s body guard.

Given the long delays in “Sin City 2” and reports that a “Fantastic Four” reboot is in the works sans the original cast, Alba could be without a comic book franchise to call her own — which is why turning to “The Insiders” could be a strong move for an actress looking to stick with the genre.

On top of that, Alba’s first high-profile gig came in the form of “Dark Angel,” a James Cameron-produced television series where she played a hard-as-nails soldier of the same ilk as Najah Cruz. Truly, starring in “The Insiders” would be a return to form for the young actress.

Jessica Alba has made a donation to the United Way in Oklahoma City, where she ran into trouble for attaching a poster to one of the charity’s billboards.

The United Way of Central Oklahoma announced Alba’s donation Thursday.

Spokeswoman Erin Brewer says Alba’s lawyer asked the charity not to disclose the amount, but that Alba qualified for a program that recognizes donors who give $500 or more. Brewer deemed it “generous” and “appropriate.”

The 28-year-old actress had been in Oklahoma City filming the movie “The Killer Inside Me.”

She previously apologized for putting up posters aimed at raising awareness about the declining population of great white sharks. Police have said she will not face criminal charges.

For a few days, a portion of downtown Oklahoma City has been transformed into 1950s Texas for the filming of an independent movie.

Casey Affleck donned a light-colored cowboy hat and a dark blue suit Saturday as he walked past an old bank building that was serving as a Fort Worth train station for the filming of “The Killer Inside Me.” Signs directing pedestrians to the trains were posted on the side of the First National Building and a Texas flag flew overhead.

“It’s the first chance we’ve had to give some real scale to the movie. It’s the first time we’ve shot on streets this size with all of the extras,” producer Andrew Eaton said.

The filming, which is about halfway through a five-week stretch in Oklahoma, is the fruitful finish both for producers, who’ve been struggling to get the movie off the ground, and for the Oklahoma Film and Music Office, in its efforts to secure a significant motion picture to be shot in the state.

The film that also stars Kate Hudson and Jessica Alba is considered the biggest movie to be shot in Oklahoma since “Twister” in 1996.

Oklahoma City Police have revealed that an investigation into the vandalism of signage by Jessica Alba is “still open,” but it’s unlikely the actress will face charges.

Photos of Alba gluing posters of a great white shark to public property popped up online, in an attempt to raise awareness for the dying marine species.

“I got involved in something I should have had no part of,” Alba said in a statement.

“I realize that I should have used better judgment, and I regret not thinking things through before I made a spontaneous and ill-advised decision to let myself get involved with the people behind this campaign.”

Police Sgt. Gary Knight told E! News, “Right now the investigation is still open. Nobody has been interviewed but we’re talking with the property owners to see if they’re interested in pressing charges.  That’s typical in something like a vandalism like this; we’d interview the owners and go from there.”

The CEO of United Way, owners of the billboard in question, released a statement saying, “We are certain that she didn’t mean any harm as she has since apologized. We remain focused on our work rather than this minor distraction.”
