Jessica Alba had the back of her neck tattooed as a ‘bonding experience’ with her mother and aunt two years ago but it appears she has already tired of the etching. The noticeably faded daisy and ladybird suggests the 28-year-old star is undergoing laser surgery to get rid of the tacky design. The cover-up was spotted as the Fantastic Four actress debuted her new red hairstyle while joining a female friend for a manicure session in Beverly Hills yesterday.

Jessica Alba showed off her new red hairstyle as she had a manicure in Beverly Hills on Sunday afternoon. A design of a ladybird on a daisy can barely be seen on Jessica’s neck. Jessica’s tattoo was originally green, black and red. Wearing a baggy grey vest and denim shorts, Jessica looked relaxed as she enjoyed her pampering session in a nail bar not far from her mansion, where she lives with husband Cash Warren and their 15-month-old daughter Honor Marie.

The faded nature of the small tattoo on her neck suggests she is in the process of getting her tattoo removed with laser surgery. Laser surgery takes between three to 15 treatments, which take place at least six weeks apart, to remove all trace of the tattoos. Jessica’s removal of the daisy and ladybird means she will have two remaining tattoos – the Sanskrit word ‘Padma’ on her wrist and a bow on her lower back.

The mother-of-one also debuted a dramatic new red hairstyle which comes only weeks after she debuted a blonde style. It is thought her red locks are paving the way for a transition back to her natural brunette colour.

Her outing in LA comes days after she listened to a speech by U.S. President Barack Obama in New York City. The then-blonde actress joined Alicia Keys and her latest co-star Ashton Kutcher to listen to the talk on global initiatives.

Jessica is currently filming romantic comedy Valentine’s Day with Ashton, as well as a second role in crime thriller Machete, which are both due for release next year. She is also set to resume her role as stripper Nancy Callahan in the Sin City sequel next year.

She normally pulls off the Hollywood starlet look with little difficulty. But Thursday night was a different matter as Jessica Alba attended a party hosted by Bill Clinton in New York. Jessica’s decision to dye her hair blonde for a movie role has met mixed reviews from the media.

The Sin City star looked much skinnier than usual and even appeared gaunt with her hair scraped back in a Croydon facelift. On the subject of her hair, something seemed not quite right with the 28-year-old’s usually glamorous locks. After dyeing her tresses blonde for her role in Valentine’s Day, her upcoming movie with Ashton Kutcher, it seems they have now turned an unflattering shade of orange.

The dodgy colour clashed with the actress’s bright red lipstick and plunging neckline, which also showed off her jutting collarbone.

Jessica Alba attended the Clinton Global Initiative in New York City on Thursday to promote global education for all children, and told PEOPLE she also relentlessly promotes education at home with 1-year-old daughter Honor Marie.

“I am a mother who shoves information down her throat, poor thing,” the currently blond actress said with a laugh. “I sing her songs about colors in Spanish and English when I’m cooking. Literally I integrate learning into everything I do. We’re into colors because I feel that’s something a 15-month-old can sort of identify. So now she kind of points to blue and says ‘azul’ and I say ‘Yes, azul, muy bien!’ It’s slow going but she’s sort of picking it up.”

The Fantastic Four actress proudly says her little daughter is bilingual already – almost. “She says gato for cat. Pato for duck, but dog is dog,” Alba says. “She doesn’t say perro. She kind of flips back and forth. She’s very silly. She growls like a lion whenever I say leon.”

Alba announced that she will be the United States co-chair of 1GOAL, the new campaign to make education for all children the legacy of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. Alba says as a mother “everything becomes more important,” particularly education, which is why she is particularly dedicated to the non-profit. “It’s a human right, I believe, to have the opportunity to have an education and it’s unacceptable that 75 million children on this planet don’t have a chance to have one.”

She hopes to bring her daughter to Africa for the first time early next year. “I’m actually really excited about going to Africa for the first time with my daughter and exposing her to a completely different culture and having her learn through life experiences,” she explained. “That’s one thing she’s going to get that not a lot of children have the luxury of having: traveling and being exposed to world issues and cultures and food. I can’t wait.”

She adds that she’s excited 1GOAL is affiliated with the World Cup because she is a soccer fan. “I played soccer when I was a kid and so did my husband,” she says. “The wonderful thing about the 1GOAL campaign being tied into the World Cup is it’s the one time in the world when everyone puts down their differences, puts down their weapons, and roots for a team.”

Actress Jessica Alba apologized to the people of Oklahoma City after plastering posters of great white sharks on electrical boxes, a bridge and a United Way billboard. Alba was photographed plastering the posters late at night and flashing the victory sign.

The posters were part of a protest group’s efforts to raise awareness of the endangered shark.

“I got involved in something I should have had no part in,” Alba said in a written statement sent to the city’s local newspaper, The Oklahoman, and to ABC News. “I realize that I should have used better judgment and regret not thinking things through before I made a spontaneous and ill-advised decision to let myself get involved with the people behind this campaign. I sincerely apologize to the citizens of Oklahoma City and to the United Way for my involvement in the incident.”

Alba was in the city shooting a movie when this event occurred.

The Associated Press reported that the police have decided not to pursue a criminal vandalism case against the starlet. None of the property holders that were defaced during Alba’s stint of activism wanted to press charges.
At least the great white sharks got a little media attention out of this incident.
